so, according to barack obama, iran does not pose a serious threat to the united states. his reasoning: because they spend a fraction of what the united states does on military resources.

this man is not to be taken seriously. he is a fool, and has, to say the very least, a child’s understanding of unconventional warfare.

quick question, mr. obama: how much do you think the 9/11 hijackers invested in their box cutters?

how is maple butter made?

it is a travesty of elephantine proportions that i cannot afford an iphone and be able to partake in its newest feature: google reader. being as i am the biggest google reader loser in the history of the application, i feel that i should be able to test this feature and give it the timothy long stamp of awesomness.

i will be starting a fund to which any loving person can donate, if you so wish to help me become whole again.

silly genealogies.

3/05/2008

lets face it. genealogies are a part of the bible that we like to overlook. they’re never an exciting topic of study. but on occasion we find that they carry divine implications.
when we examine the root meanings of the names in genesis 5 (the genealogy of adam), we find something interesting…

adam translates: man
seth translates: appointed
enosh translates: mortal (also translated frail or miserable)
kenan translates: sorrow
mahalalel translates: the blessed god
jared translates: shall come down
enoch translates: teaching
methuselah translates: his death shall bring
lamech translates: despairing
noah translates: rest

“man (is) appointed mortal sorrow, (but) the blessed God shall come down teaching, (and) his death shall bring (the) despairing rest.”

i’d say that’s a rather classical old testament reference to christ. divine etymological implications are exhibited all throughout scripture. we just have to look for them!
